PAC Finally Coming To AEW After Losing Dragon Gate Title?

PAC's loss to Ben-K could free him to join All Elite.

PAC is no longer Dragon Gate's Open the Dream Gate Champion, having lost the strap to up-and-comer Ben-K at the promotion's Kobe World Pro-Wrestling Festival yesterday (21 July).

His reign came to an end at 229 days. Having taken the belt from Masato Yoshino in December 2018, he mounted acclaimed defences against the likes of Shun Skywalker and Dragon Kid, and may now be free to finally link up with All Elite Wrestling.

"Creative differences" were said to be the reason for the former Neville pulling out of the promotion after being pegged to face Hangman Page at Double Or Nothing. These were thought to revolve around the Open the Dream Gate Title, with PAC unwilling to lose while holding DG's top strap - an assumption reflected in the way he has been booked on the independent circuit.

That story made PAC a figure of minor controversy in May, though he'd be a huge boon to AEW at the moment. The promotion needs stars and top-level heels. He has the potential to be both for a company that hit several hitches at Fight For The Fallen earlier this month, so fingers crossed a deal comes to fruition.
