Pat McAfee's return to WWE television sparked a title change last night, as he helped Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan capture the NXT Tag Team Championships from Breezango.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango were originally booked to put the gold on the line against Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong. The Undisputed Era duo were taken out by an unknown backstage assailant earlier in the evening, however, preventing them from competing, which led to Kyle O'Reilly insisting William Regal give Burch and Lorcan the shot.

This backfired spectacularly, as the mask-clad McAfee interfered in the bout, shoving Fandango from the top rope, providing a distraction, and allowing Burch to hit a low blow before a double DDT ended it.

McAfee pulled his mask away after the bout, throwing up the Undisputed Era's signature pose to close.

Breezango's NXT Tag Team Title run ended at 56 days, with this being the first time Lorcan and Burch have held the gold. McAfee, meanwhile, hadn't appeared since entering a remarkable performance against Adam Cole at TakeOver: XXX in August. The former NFL punter lost that night, though it seems his business with Cole and his stable is far from over.
