It turns out former professional athlete Pat McAfee is still pretty great at being a professional athlete.

A new video uploaded to the @WWEonFOX Twitter account and McAfee's YouTube channel shows him training for the upcoming NXT TakeOver XXX match with Adam Cole:-

McAfee shows off all kinds of flippydoos, from Swanton Bombs and Moonsaults to front flips and an impressive vertical leap to the top rope.

He cuts a show promo towards the end, too. "Since I made Adam Cole's soul leave his body," McAfee said, "we got 12 days to get ready for another match, with what some people are calling the next best wrestler of all time. I ain't worried about that though. I eat that f*cker for breakfast."

Though he has never worked a WWE match, McAfee has more athletic pedigree than most people on WWE's roster. He played on the NFL's Indianapolis Colts for eight years, making the Pro Bowl twice and earning the PFF's Punter of the Decade award, having retired in 2016. He has been on WWE's books since 2018 and actually cost Cole a match against Aleister Black on a house show that March, with his distracting interference causing the finish.
