Paul Heyman Mentions AEW's Christian Cage On WWE Talking Smack
Paul E certainly lived dangerously on the latest edition of Talking Smack.
Paul Heyman referenced AEW's most recent signing Christian Cage during the latest episode of Talking Smack.
With Heyman's associate Roman Reigns currently locked in a three-way feud with Daniel Bryan and Edge, the co-host of Talking Smack opted to remind 'The Rated R Superstar' why his old pal opted to leave WWE behind recently.
Staring down the barrel all the while, Heyman informed Edge via camera lens:
"I want you to think about this. Your best friend in this world knew he was going to become Roman Reigns' target just to get into your head, and what did he do? He ran away before Roman Reigns could target him. How many of your 'Christians' need to convert before you realize it's not smart to p*ss off Roman Reigns."
Christian Cage made his debut for AEW at the recent Revolution PPV, going on to stare down AEW World Champion Kenny Omega on this week's Wednesday Night Dynamite. Tony Khan's company is rarely acknowledged in the land of WWE, so these words will no doubt prick up a few ears over the coming days.
Edge is set to make his one-on-one action SmackDown comeback next week, battling Jey Uso in a blue show singles match - for the first time in 11 years - with the winner earning the right to be the special guest enforcer for Reigns and Bryan's Fastlane Universal Championship match.
Will Edge prove himself to be the one star who p*sses off Reigns and gets away with it? Or could the 2021 Royal Rumble winner pay for his sins at the hands of 'The Tribal Chief' at WrestleMania 37? We've still got another vital episode of SmackDown and Peacock PPV to get through before those answers become any clearer.
