Paul Heyman To Miss WWE Greatest Royal Rumble?

Paul Heyman will not be at the side of Brock Lesnar for his WWE Universal Championship defence against Roman Reigns this Friday, according to PWInsider.

The website is today reporting that the ECW mastermind is to stay at home this week while his client heads to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble. Further details are yet to be provided, although there is no suggestion of a bust-up with company heads.

With Lesnar and Reigns set to meet inside a Steel Cage, the absence of a manager at ringside may not have a huge affect on the show at any rate. Much of Heyman's value during a match comes from close-up shots of his exasperated face popping up from beneath the apron at ringside.

That said, his post-bell antics could be missed if, as expected, this is the moment that The Big Dog takes the belt. The scenes after Lesnar ended Undertaker's WrestleMania streak four yeas ago wouldn't have been half as memorable without Heyman looking like he had just seen a ghost.

But that's a minor grievance. There are plenty of big names on the card as it is.
