The New Day were sent to SmackDown as part of April's WWE Superstar Shake-Up, but the group are yet to arrive on their new brand. Kofi Kingston's foot injury has prevented them from appearing, and after several weeks of hype packages, the popular trio are expected to finally debut as part of the SD roster on tonight's show.

Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods haven't touched gold since losing their Raw Tag Team Championships in December, but look set to immediately enter the blue brand's title hunt. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE plan on booking The New Day against The Usos, who retained the SmackDown Tag Titles against Breezango at Backlash.

Having not appeared since April 10th, The New Day will be a welcome addition to a tag scene that has struggled for direction in 2017. They'll bring some much-needed depth and credibility to the division, and their immense popularity makes them a logical choice to challenge The Usos.

There's no word on what form The New Day's return will take, but it'll likely be used to promote their "New Day's Fantastic Ride" Network special, which debuts later today.
