Possible Plans For WWE SmackDown 'Hacker' Revealed

There could be two behind the Truth.

For some time now, we'd all pretty much decided amongst ourselves that Mustafa Ali was the man behind SmackDown's ongoing series of glitches and technical hitches. All the evidence has pointed in the former 205 Live man's direction - not least a blue symbol from the hacker's mixing desk directly matching the one on Ali's gear.

As it turns out, it may not be quite as simple as this (which could be a case of WWE changing plans because they made it so bloomin' obvious). According to the latest edition of Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, whilst Ali is still tipped as the man under the hood, he apparently isn't working alone, with a re-packaged Chad Gable currently being considered as his accomplice.

Anything that gets Gable away from that ridiculous 'Shorty G' nonsense is a step in the right direction.

It isn't clear when WWE plan to drop their big reveal, though given how long the affair has ran, you have to think it'll be soon. Mostly recently, the Truth in the Booth issued a warning to WWE's tag division - lending credence to the idea of a two-man job.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
