VICE has started filming some new 'Dark Side Of The Ring' episodes - what are they about?
PWInsider Elite are reporting that VICE has started filming for the third season of its acclaimed 'Dark Side Of The Ring' documentary series.
The production company shot footage at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia; that building was unofficially known as the 'ECW Arena' in the 90s due to how many events Paul Heyman's hardcore company ran there. Now, it's a multi-purpose facility apparently perfect for VICE's set up.
Speaking of hardcore, none other than Nick Gage is the subject of a new 'Dark Side Of The Ring' episode. The CZW regular was imprisoned for bank robbery before returning to wrestling post-release and has put his body through hell in countless death matches.
Hardcore Japanese promotion FMW is also rumoured to be one of the topics VICE will cover, but that hasn't been confirmed.
Thus far, Nick Gage, Brian Pillman, WCW's joint 'Collision In Korea' show with New Japan in 1995 and a potentially-harrowing episode on the relationships between Grizzly Smith and his children Jake Roberts, Sam Houston and Rockin’ Robin have been discussed.
