Potential SPOILERS On WWE's Survivor Series 2023 Plans
At least one major WWE match has been ruled out for Survivor Series 2023.
Roman Reigns will not wrestle Raw counterpart Seth Rollins at WWE Survivor Series 2023, reports Dave Meltzer.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that, at the time of recording, WWE had no plans on having its Undisputed Universal and World Heavyweight Champions collide at the premium live event, which has typically featured a slew of Raw vs. SmackDown matches during the brand split era.
There is no word on what, exactly, Rollins and Reigns could be doing instead, though they aren't planned to face each other.
Previously, Meltzer had reported that the WarGames match in the works for Survivor Series wouldn't be a Raw vs. SmackDown bout either. WWE will presumably go for another theme beyond brand warfare instead.
Survivor Series 2023 takes place in Rosemont, Illinois' Allstate Arena on Saturday, 25 November. Before this, WWE must get through its latest sportswashing spectacular, Crown Jewel 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 4 November.
Survivor Series has been a huge business success for WWE so far, with quickfire ticket sales prompting the promotion to open new arena sections several times already. WrestleTix's latest numbers noted that 15,128 tickets had been shifted as of 23 October.
