Social media posts seem to suggest that some are tiring of The New Day on Monday Night Raw, and it is true that the trio have floundered since dropping the Raw Tag-Team Titles.

A split would be haphazard though, because it's difficult to see the likes of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods making a splash on their own again. On the other hand, Big E has a chance as a singles star, but why take that unnecessary risk when the group could be drafted to SmackDown and build towards something special for WrestleMania 34 instead?

The return of The Hardy Boyz also seems imminent, and that could provide New Day with a renaissance moment.

Back at WrestleMania X-Seven, Matt and Jeff Hardy were joined by The Dudley Boyz and the team of Edge and Christian for a historic TLC affair, and that could be just the tonic for 'Mania 34. Add a superbly-athletic team like American Alpha to the mix, and suddenly the SmackDown Tag Title scene would look red hot with such a match to offer on the biggest show of the year.
