Predicting WWE WrestleMania 38 Nights 1 & 2 Cards
1. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins (Universal Championship)
Without a Great One to call upon, a Beast in contention, or a Deadman to rise from the grave (we bloody hope), the prize of going toe-to-toe with arguably the most over and celebrated character WWE has to offer currently falls at the feet of another former Shield brethren.
After being cheekily teased on SmackDown during the pair's stint on Friday nights together, Seth Rollins was abruptly shipped off to Raw in the Draft, leaving audiences wondering whether this intriguing rekindling of a far from over rivalry would ever come to pass.
As you likely know all too well, a lot can change between now and The Showcase of the Immortals. Rollins becoming a two-time Royal Rumble winner, perhaps even turning babyface along the way should he put in a performance that harkens back to his workhorse days of 2019, and challenging The Tribal Chief for all the marbles at 'Mania would be one route to go. Or you could have Reigns go one better than Brock Lesnar and put his world title on the line in the Rumble, only to win and specifically pick Seth to prove a point that he was always the top man in their one-time indomitable faction.
If a part-time talent can't be brought in to further put over WWE's brightest star, then giving Rollins a top of the card rub - something The Architect has confessed he still longs for - is definitely the way to go. Reigns and Rollins given 25-minutes to tell a gradually more intense story of former friends needing to settle a score once and for all is what 'Mania main events are made for. And anything that keeps us from yet ANOTHER Brock vs. Roman Show of Show-closer should be protected at all costs!
