Preliminary Court Hearing Scheduled For Jimmy Snuka
Jimmy Snuka will begin his time in court for the 1983 murder he has been charged with.
WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka was officially charged a couple of weeks back with the 1983 murder of Nancy Argentino, his former girlfriend, and the former wrestling superstar will begin the long legal process associated with the charge this Monday, September 21. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday morning in Allentown, Pennsylvania, reports PWInsider. Snuka, who has been struggling with several health problems of late, will appear in court. Snuka was indicted on September 1 for involuntary manslaughter and third degree murder charges, stemming from the death of Argentino on May 11, 1983. Though Snuka was with Argentino at the time of her death, he was never charged with any wrong-doing at the time of the murder, despite many questions surrounding his possible role in the death at the time. The case was re-opened when Snuka's recent account of the murder, published in a 2012 autobiography release, directly contradicted his own account of the murder back in 1983. At the time of the murder, Snuka told officers that he and Argentino had been fooling around outside of their hotel room in Allentown, PA when he pushed her and Argentino fell to the ground, hitting her head in the process. In his 2012 book, Snuka recounted that Argentino fell to the ground, on her own, while heading to a restroom at a rest stop. Snuka turned himself in to authorities on September 1 and was released on $100,000 bail.
