Pro Wrestling NOAH's TMDK Sign With WWE NXT

One of the top tag teams in Japan, The Mighty Don't Kneel are headed for WWE NXT.

The Mighty Don't Kneel (TMDK), one of the most successful tag teams in Japanese wrestling, have inked a deal to start working for WWE NXT. The signing was announced officially via WWE.com and isn't all that unexpected, though it is somewhat delayed, as the pair took part in a tryout camp with WWE last June. The duo of Michael Nicholls and Shane Veryzer, both of Australia, have been competing as a tag team now for many years. They have been tag team champions in Japan's Pro Wrestling NOAH organization on two separate occasions. Though the team has also spent time wrestling in their native country of Australia, they have easily achieved most of their notoriety and fame while wrestling in Japan. TMDK were voted the top tag team of the year in 2013 by the Japanese media. This was significant due to the fact that it was the first time in 15 years that a non-Japanese team was given the award, the last being the duo of Vader and Stan Hansen. Nicholls and Veryzer will start at the WWE Performance Center and WWE NXT in April along with a whole new recruiting class. The decision has not yet been made as to whether they will continue to wrestle as a tag team or break-out into singles competition for their run with NXT.
