While his immediate future seems to still be tied to ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and a goo-spewing Alexa Bliss, Randy Orton also has his eyes on a bout with NXT’s Karrion Kross.

After a new cryptic vignette saw Kross again talk up how “time tells all” and how “time is almost up”, the Viper responded by challenging the former NXT Champion to a fight, to making some money, and to then cracking open some beers.

For Kross’ part, he himself seems keen on tangling with Randal Keith at some point down the line.

Having been forced to relinquish the NXT Championship mere days after he won it at NXT TakeOver: XXX, Karrion Kross made his NXT return in December. Since then, his most notable action saw him defeat Damian Priest at the brand’s New Year’s Evil event.

More recently, it appears that Kross and Scarlett may well end up involved in a rivalry with Santos Escobar, with the past few episodes of NXT seeing plentiful teases pointing in that direction.

As for Orton, last night saw him have one supposed ‘final match’ against Edge, and it’s clear that the RKO enthusiast has plenty of unfinished business with The Fiend – having, of course, set Wyatt ablaze at December’s WWE TLC PPV.

Of those NXT talents who seem main roster ready, Karrion Kross is certainly someone who jumps out - even if his NXT tenure has been a relatively short one so far.
