Randy Orton Joins Edge In Mocking WWE's "Greatest Match Ever" Hype

These guys know they're being set up to fail, but at least they're having fun...

As previously reported, Edge has been critical of WWE's "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" hype before this weekend's Backlash pay-per-view.

Now, it appears Randy Orton is joining in on the fun.

Randy tweeted out that fans only had two days to wait before finding out if both men could live up to the billing or "sh*t the bed". Not to be outdone, Edge chimed in and joined his rival in poking yet more fun at WWE's ludicrous claim that a bout that hasn't happened yet is already the best in history.

He sarcastically tweeted, "I just did the GREATEST POISON RANA OFF OF A PICKUP TRUCK TO AN ARMADILLO EVER. #Backlash", then followed that up with another zinger that said, "Just had the GREATEST CONVERSATION EVER with my girls on the deck and watched the sunrise(this one is true;)".

Even Edge and Orton seem to know they're up against it. Either that or they're secretly content with what they produced (the bout was pre-taped before Sunday's show) and want to troll fans before they see it.

Living up to the hype was always going to be impossible.
