Randy Orton's Facebook Calls Wade Barrett 'Coward' For Quitting WWE?
Social media accounts take aim at Barrett's pending departure.
As we noted yesterday, word making the rounds is that Wade Barrett will be leaving WWE once his contract expires this Summer (reportedly June or July). The report, which originated from Pro Wrestling Sheet, says that Barrett recently made the decision not to re-sign with the company following his contract's expiration. It didn't take long for a couple of WWE superstars to come out and comment on the report. The first of which was Ryback, who called "dibs" on two of Barrett's moves. http://twitter.com/Ryback22/status/699726249514500097 The more surprising comment came today, courtesy of Randy Orton's official Facebook page. We should note that these pages are typically run by WWE personnel, so it's not likely (though not impossible) that the comment was actually made by Orton. A video clip from Orton's match with Barrett at Bragging Rights 2010 was posted along with the caption "One thing #TheViper doesn't respect: A COWARD!" Yikes. Barrett himself commented yesterday on the flurry of reports surrounding his WWE status. He wrote on Twitter "I unexpectedly received a lot of very nice messages from people today. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write some kind words." He went on, writing "I'll comment further at a more appropriate time, but for now I'm 100% focused on doing my job for WWE. See you at FastLane on Sunday." Since Barrett didn't come out and deny the allegations, it would appear on the surface that the reports are accurate.
