Ranking All 15 WWE Debuts & Returns From 2025
3. Penta
Perhaps the only truly good thing to come out of Raw’s debut on Netflix, Penta has been a revelation for WWE this year.
Before he injured his shoulder last month, Penta was something of a workhorse, wrestling televised matches nearly every week this year. His booking was confusing at times: the luchador feuded with the New Day for way too long and was part of a rotating cast of babyfaces who battled The Vision during its formative days. He also vied for the Intercontinental Championship but was unable to unseat Dominik Mysterio.
Still, Penta remained a popular fixture with a presence and charisma that kept fans firmly in his corner. It’s not hard to envision him wearing IC gold when he returns from injury.
Plus, there’s that little matter of a tag team with his brother, Rey Fenix. When the Lucha Bros finally team up in WWE, it’s a safe assumption that they will make a mad dash for the tag titles.
In WWE, you can’t always measure success by a wrestler’s win-loss record, and that’s especially true for Penta. You have to call his debut year an unconditional success, with potential for more good things in 2026.
