On his own, the former Jeff Cobb would be little more than a proverbial jobber-to-the-stars in WWE in 2025, beating lower-card talent and putting over the bigger stars.

However, Mateo landed in WWE as a member of the new Bloodline, part of Solo Sikoa’s ongoing retooling of the group in the post-Roman Reigns era, though it was only a matter of weeks before the stable rebranded as MFT.

As the year has wore on, MFT has become a constant, entertaining presence in the SmackDown midcard. What’s more, Mateo has found some success as part of a tag team with Tama Tonga. And MFT won a traditional five-on-five Survivor Series match on the SmackDown before the eponymous PLE.

As long as he’s part of MFT or a similar stable, Mateo likely will have a role to play as a heavy.
