8. Intercontinental Championship Match: Big Show Vs. Cody Rhodes - WrestleMania 28

WWE.com
For weeks leading into WrestleMania 28, intercontinental champion Cody Rhodes pointed out to the WWE Universe just how underwhelming Big Show's resume at the Showcase of the Immortals actually was. He produced videos poking fun of the giant for his many embarrassing losses and the fact that, to that point, he had not enjoyed a real WrestleMania moment. Fueled by enhancing his legacy and shutting up the second-generation Superstar at the same time, The World's Largest Athlete entered Miami for a date with destiny. There, in front of a red hot Miami crowd, Big Show defeated Rhodes to capture the Intercontinental Championship. It was the first time he held the title, completing the elusive Triple Crown and etching his name in the history books as one of the most decorated stars to ever lace a pair of boots. Better yet? He looked motivated doing it, determined to prove to everyone that his string of disappointing showings at WrestleMania would not plague him for the remainder of his career. While the match was far from perfect, it was competitive and much longer than the one-minute sprint he had been subjected to a year earlier.
