It took 12 years for a Royal Rumble comeback to resonate with the earnest profundity of John Cena's Madison Square Garden return. Fitting, then, that it was for one of his most celebrated rivals.

A return that had been teased but denied for most of the prior decade brought tears of joy to performer and audience alike. The global pandemic robbed 'The Rated-R Superstar' of everything else in the immediate aftermath, but he will always have this.
