Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Finisher Every Year 1990-2020

21. 2000 - Pedigree

Best Finishers
WWE Network

Much like the wrestler himself, the Pedigree belatedly became incredible in the year 2000.

It was always a pretty cool DDT variation, but Triple H's transformed, hulking physique got it all the way over years after he'd introduced it. His massive arms better sold that underhook as inescapable. The execution was as powerful as it was crisp, and the boundless, creative violence of the time sparked within him the idea to plant Cactus Jack's face in thumbtacks in an unforgettable spot at the 2000 Royal Rumble.

Triple H's deeply impressive core strength enabled the delay effect and the wonderful splat that followed.

Great finish, especially for a 4/10 etc.
