Ranking WWE's Divisions - From Worst To Best

WWE's product is not always well-structured, but since the brand split, most of the company's talent has found itself settled into a certain division.

Some are more blatant than others, with the Cruiserweights unable to interact with anyone but each other, nor allowed to wrestle in a ring without purple ropes. Others are a bit more loose, such as the mid-card, often defined mainly by the WWE not seeing these guys as main event material.

Some of these divisions are in better shape than others, making some aspects of Raw and SmackDown exciting and engaging, while others make fans want to change the channel. Both shows feature a group of main event players and mid-card guys, as well as more distinct tag team and women's divisions.

On Raw, the product is top-heavy, with all of its biggest stars competing for a shot at the Universal Championship. On SmackDown, it's a bit more confusing. With so many hours of content, this will hopefully indicate where you should be focusing your attention, and when you're better off not bothering.

The optimists among us thought the 'This Is Your Life' segment was the worst Raw's Women's division could get. On paper, the 'Kendo Stick on a Pole' match seemed trash, but maybe they could make something unique out of it?

What they made was uniquely horrific. Bayley, who once reduced grown men to tears at TakeOver: Brooklyn, has now lost every shred of credibility or sympathy she ever had. WWE have butchered a beloved character, and built no one else in her place. Alexa Bliss has a lot of making-up to do for her role in this fiasco, and feuding with Nia Jax, or the faces nobody wanted, Dana Brooke and Mickie James, simply won't cut it.

And where is former multi-time champion Sasha Banks? Chilling with the Cruiserweights. The heel turn she had been building on Bayley never materialised, and whatever she is being saved for better rear its head quickly. Either that, or we need a captivating redemption story from Bayley, but she will have to strive to claw back the support of the fans.

We cannot say this division is broken beyond repair, but Raw must act quickly to mitigate the damage.
