As noted on Monday's edition of Raw, Drew McIntyre will not be present to back his new friend Matt Riddle as the 'Original Bro' heads for a Money In The Bank rematch with Intercontinental Champion Gunther.

Now we know why.

He's going to Hollywood!

PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson came through with the latest update on the 'Scottish Warrior', noting that it was due to impressive commitments outside of WWE that he wouldn't be rocking up on the red brand. He said;

"Drew McIntyre will miss next week's Raw as he has been cast in a new action film titled "The Killer's Game". The film will star Dave Bautista and Ice Cube. The plot of the film is that Bautista is a hired assassin who takes out a contract on himself when he learns he is terminally ill. After learning the diagnosis was incorrect, he has to fight to save his life against everyone coming to collect the contract."

The company were presumably somewhat aware of McIntyre's involvement in the project ahead of his surprising and unannounced Money In The Bank return. In the post-show press conference for that Premium Live Event, Triple H noted that conversations had gone on about what each side wanted.

McIntyre appears set to clash with 'Der Ring General' for the secondary strap at SummerSlam on August 5th.
