Real Reason WWE Scrapped This NXT DEADL1NE Match

Here's why WWE pulled one of its NXT DEADL1NE matches from the lineup this week.

Indus Sher vs. The Creed Brothers was pulled from Saturday's DEADL1NE special during this Tuesday's episode of NXT, with Veer and Sanga reneging on their challenge to the Creeds for the kayfabe reason that Julius was nursing a rib injury.

In fact, it is an Indus Sher member, not a Creed Brother, who isn't cleared to compete. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Veer isn't able to step through the ropes at the moment. At the moment, WWE is trying to keep Indus Sher healthy for an upcoming show in India next month, which is yet to be formally announced.

PWInsider has reported that WWE will host an event in a 5,000-capacity arena in Hyderabad on 18 January. As home market stars, Indus Sher would theoretically help sell those tickets.

Meltzer stated that there is a lot of money involved with WWE's return to India. As such, the company doesn't want to risk a native star not being able to compete there, so they have made the move to pull Veer from DEADL1NE.

WWE has not announced a new date for Indus Sher vs. The Creed Brothers.
