Tyler Breeze suffered through a lot of false dawns during his WWE career between 2010-2021. The former NXT man and Breezango favourite often powered through these setbacks and tried his best to get noticed by the folks in charge.

Then, Dolph Ziggler laid the truth bare for him.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet's 'Insight' show, Breeze recalled how Dolph had pulled him aside to explain how WWE's system really worked when they were programmed together in 2015. It was cool to have aspirations of reaching the top, Ziggler said, but "It's very clear who the guy is. If it's not you, then chances are it'll never be you".

That honest appraisal of Tyler ever becoming "the guy" in WWE was something Breeze admired. He also liked when Dolph pointed out that he could still be a valuable tool for the company, make some money and have some killer experiences if he kept his nose clean, played ball and knocked everything they handed him out of the park.

From that day on, being reliable and shining with whatever WWE gave him became Tyler's main goal. He'll never forget Ziggler's crucial advice, or the complete lack of bullsh*t that came with it.
