Following today's earlier news that Jon Moxley is entering into inpatient treatment for alcohol, Mox's wife Renee Paquette has taken to Twitter to issue a statement on this matter.

Renee thanked everyone for the support shown towards Mox and his family, and she also stated how proud she was of the former AEW World Champion.

At this stage, there's obviously no timeframe for how long Moxley will be away from the squared circle, with the priority here clearly being for Jon to deal with his alcohol issues.

Mox was previously due to face Orange Cassidy tonight in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament, although that match now pales into insignificance when looking at the bigger picture.

In terms of Cassidy, he will still compete in the Title Eliminator tourney tonight, but at this stage his opponent has not been revealed. Freshly Squeezed defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in the opening round of the tournament to set up the Moxley semi-final bout, with the other semi-final due to see Eddie Kingston taking on Bryan Danielson.

The final of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament will take place at the Full Gear PPV on 13 November, with the winner getting a guaranteed shot at the prize currently held by Kenny Omega - although Omega has the small matter of Hangman Page to deal with at the aforementioned Full Gear.
