Report: Elias To Become "Staple" Of WWE Raw
Former Drifter set for Raw mega-push?
Elias looks set for a considerable push on WWE Raw, reports Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes.
Per the writeup, sources indicate that the 32-year-old is to become more of a fixture on Monday nights, to the point that he will be considered amongst Raw's top stars. Elias will be a "staple" of the show going forward, with Cassidy's sources adding that moving him from SmackDown to Raw in the recent Draft was a "no-brainer" and considered mutually beneficial.
Increased airtime was apparently part of the brand switch, with the former 'Drifter' afforded ample time for this week's musical segment. WWE sees Elias as somebody who can fill big pockets of time, with officials "certain he'll deliver," and of course, Raw's three-hour format makes it easier for the promotion to dedicate chunks like this to performers
Elias is currently embroiled in a feud with Jeff Hardy, who interrupted this week's musical performance. The duo will wrestle at Hell In A Cell 2020 this Sunday. On top of this, Elias has a new album titled Universal Truth hitting shelves on 26 October, with this week's Raw performance part of the promotional push for that.
