Report: Former NXT Star At IMPACT Wrestling Tapings
This ex-NXT and 205 Live star is in Nashville for the weekend.
Fightful Select has come through with another report from this weekend's IMPACT Wrestling tapings, noting that Alex Zayne - the former Ari Sterling of NXT and 205 Live fame - is in attendance at the tapings.
There's no word as of this writing with regards to what, exactly, the 'Sauce' was involved with at the tapings, though you'd assume he'll be involved with the X Division in some capacity. Presumably, the X Division Title will now be declared vacant with Josh Alexander exercising Option C, so perhaps Zayne will be eyeing that title.
Having made a name for himself on the independent circuit, namely in Game Changer Wrestling, Zayne was signed to WWE in 2020, wrestling just ten matches there prior to his release from the promotion in August. His final match aired on the 6 August 205 Live broadcast - the day of his release, ironically enough.
His non-compete clause ended in September, with Zayne having since earned a future ROH World Title match by winning the company's Honor Rumble match. He entered the bout as a surprise sixteenth entrant at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.
As well as Alex Zayne, AEW's Christopher Daniels, a bonafide IMPACT Hall of Famer, is another high-profile name in attendance at the tapings.
