Karrion Kross was reportedly mocked by chants of "Hardy!" at WWE's latest set of NXT television tapings earlier this week, forcing the company to re-shoot a segment featuring the NXT Champion and TakeOver 36 opponent Samoa Joe.

This is according to Bodyslam's Trent Osborne, who has spoken to several people who were at the Capitol Wrestling Center for Wednesday's tapings. Kross was plagued by the chants from the moment he arrived in the room. "Hardy!" chants took over the CWC, leading to the decision to re-tape a confrontation between Joe and Kross, which took place at the end of the night.

Osborne sourced the following quote suggesting WWE personnel lied in order to stop people from leaving before the re-shoot:-

“They even lied to us and said something special was going to happen so we wouldn’t leave. [A Crew Member] told me the show wasn’t over. When [we] tried to leave, he told us there was a surprise.”

Interesting "surprise," for sure.

The "Hardy!" chants stem from this week's episode of Raw, on which Kross was dismally defeated by Jeff Hardy in under two minutes. This was Karrion's first televised loss since signing for WWE in February 2020.
