Mandy Rose was reportedly "in good spirits" in the wake of her WWE release on Wednesday, reports Fightful Select.

The former NXT Women's Champion was cut by the promotion less than 24 hours after dropping the gold to Roxanne Perez on this Tuesday's NXT show. Fightful note that Rose's spirits were high during the taping and after the cut, despite its seemingly abrupt nature.

Regarding Rose dropping the NXT Women's Title to Perez, Fightful describes the situation as "very hasty", having learned of the switch around 15 minutes before NXT hit the airwaves. Mandy had been champion for 413 days prior to the release.

As far as her WWE contract goes, Rose signed a five-year deal with the promotion in 2019 and had close to two years left to run. Although it had been rumoured that Mandy requested to be let go a fortnight before it actually happened, Fightful has not been able to confirm this.

WWE released Rose due to the nature of the content posted on her subscription-based FanTime page. It was reported at the time that the promotion felt they'd been put in a difficult position by this, judging the content to have fallen "outside the parameters" of Rose's WWE contract.
