Report: Mauro Ranallo Will NOT Be Calling WWE NXT This Week
The popular Ranallo looks set to miss this week's NXT show after all.
It looks like Mauro Ranallo won't be in the house for tonight's WWE NXT show after all.
This is according to a new report from POST Wrestling's John Pollock, who claims that while "there has been communication over the past few days between Ranallo and those in the company," somebody has made the decision that the popular play-by-play man won't call this week's episode.
There's currently no word on who will replace Ranallo in the announce booth or whether or not he'll be on next week's episode.
This unfortunate news comes after a tough weekend for Mauro, who missed Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view after harsh, public criticism from SmackDown announcer Corey Graves. Ranallo deleted his Twitter account in the aftermath, and with several outlets confirming that this was linked to the Graves situation, speculation has rumbled on ever since.
Yesterday brought reports that WWE expected to have Ranallo back in action by today. The aforementioned communications seemingly brought a change in this, and it's saddening to hear that Mauro won't be able to mount an immediate return to his usual role.
Fingers crossed that all is well with the man, given his noted mental health struggles.
