Tegan Nox was one of eight wrestlers to be let go by WWE in the company's latest round of roster cuts on 18 November - and it sounds like the creative team were all over the place prior to her departure.

A new report from Fightful Select notes that plans for Nox changed several times following her main roster call-up on 9 July, for which she was thrown into a tag team with Shotzi Blackheart. Their tandem was split in the 2021 Draft, however, with Tegan sent to Raw while Shotzi remained on SmackDown, though neither of them were told what show they'd end up on prior to this.

In addition, Fightful note that the duo learned their tandem was being split up through social media, rather than by the company itself.

Shotzi and Nox suffered from inconsistent main roster booking. Though they defeated Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina in two separate contendership bouts, they were never granted a shot at the belts, which were eventually won by Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. with the SmackDown duo's challenge still pending.

Nox, who had been with WWE since April 2017, has already indicated that she'll be returning to her old ring name, Nixon Newell, after leaving Vince McMahon's employ.
