Is WWE about to fast-track this NXT 2.0 wrestler to the main roster?

Bron Breakker could be heading to WWE's main roster soon.

Speaking on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted internal talk of the former NXT Champion being promoted from developmental "pretty soon." This comes following the events of this week's NXT 2.0, on which Breakker dropped the NXT Championship to Dolph Ziggler, sparking call-up speculation.

Breakker wasn't pinned in this week's NXT Title three-way. Tommaso Ciampa ate the fall, preserving a Breakker vs. Ziggler singles match for another day, with WrestleMania 38 weekend's NXT Stand & Deliver special speculated.

Speaking on this, Meltzer stated that Tuesday's events were likely done to set Bron up to regain the NXT Championship. It's possible, however, that he could lose again in Dallas, then move over to Raw or SmackDown.

Breakker is currently booked to work main roster house shows as part of WWE's Road to WrestleMania live tour this weekend. The 24-year-old only has 19 professional matches to his name since debuting on NXT television last September, though he quickly emerged as an NXT 2.0 standout, demonstrating onscreen aptitude far beyond his limited in-ring experience.
