Don't expect this handpicked Vince McMahon favourite's push to waver in Triple H's WWE.

Vince McMahon is gone from WWE - but his hand-picked prodigy's push endures.

Identified by the disgraced former WWE Chairman and CEO as a future star, to the extent that the duo appeared onscreen together extensively earlier in the year, Theory remains a touted prospect under Triple H's leadership. Or so it seems.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Theory remains the wrestler WWE "wants to groom" into a bigger star. Despite the change in leadership, the promotion still likes Theory, who has been working house show matches with Dolph Ziggler with the idea that he will benefit from wrestling more experienced competitors.

Theory, 25, remains WWE's Mr. Money in the Bank after seizing the briefcase at this year's edition of the eponymous premium live event. Last night's Raw saw him appear to enter a storyline with the returning Johnny Gargano, who superkicked him to close their in-ring exchange. The duo have shared history from their time in the old NXT faction, The Way.

WWE has not frequently booked Theory in winning positions since he won the MITB briefcase on 2 July. Though that contract guarantees him a future World Title shot, his post-MITB in-ring record currently sits at 2-8.
