Report: Vince McMahon Told Andrade To Learn English To Get Pushed In WWE

Perhaps this is why the United States Champion has crept up the card in 2020...

A new report from Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp confirms that current WWE United States Champion Andrade was told that he'd have to learn English if he was ever going to move up the card in the promotion.

This instruction came from Vince McMahon himself, apparently. Sapp's report corroborates and validates May 2019 rumours suggesting WWE management had asked the Mexican star to brush up on his spoken English.

While still largely reliant on Zelina Vega to do his talking for him, Andrade now opens his mouth more than ever, showing that he has been putting in the work behind the scenes. The results are plain to see for anyone paying attention. Rather than being sent straight to the stratosphere, Andrade has benefitted from a careful, considerate push over the past couple of years, slowly making inroads up the card through his feud with Rey Mysterio, US Title reign, and more.

What is his ceiling? It's impossible to tell in a promotion like WWE, though rubbing shoulders with Drew McIntyre in recent weeks bodes well. He definitely has the in-ring and character down - let's see if he can develop a main event-level promo game too.
