Report: WWE Considered Making The Undertaker Its Only 2022 Hall Of Fame Inductee
Undertaker almost made it into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of a solo class.
The Undertaker will not be the only inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, though the promotion at least considered the idea.
This is according to WrestleVotes, who reported on Sunday that further inductees will be added to this year's class in time, meaning 'The Deadman' won't be going in alone:-
Although the idea was in fact considered, I’m told The Undertaker will not be a “solo” inductee at this years Hall of Fame. Source expects additional names will be announced soon, potentially starting tomorrow.
WWE's 2022 Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place on Friday 1 April, the night before WrestleMania 38's first half. It'll air live on Peacock after that night's episode of SmackDown and will commence at 10 PM ET.
Going by WrestleVotes' report, it sounds like there's a chance WWE may announce another inductee soon. Perhaps there'll be something on tonight's episode of Raw.
Undertaker was named as the 2022 Hall of Fame class' first member on 18 February. His induction has been inevitable for a long, long time, but was likely held off on due to WWE's reticence to put active wrestlers in the HOF.
'Taker formally retired following a ThunderDome ceremony at Survivor Series 2020.
