Report: WWE Has "No Plans" For Recently Drafted Star
Despite sending this wrestler to Raw, WWE creative has nothing...
WWE creative is yet to come up with plans for Odyssey Jones despite the company drafting the big man to Raw a few months ago.
Fightful Select has reported as much in one of the outlet's 'Select Portions' updates, noting that there haven't been any "significant plans" drawn up for Jones since he was sent to the main roster. There is currently no word, either, on why WWE opted to send him from NXT to Raw.
Jones joined Raw as a supplemental draft pick made on the 1 May episode of Raw Talk, joining SmackDown's Grayson Waller and Monday night tandem Indus Sher in jumping from developmental to the mainstream.
The 29-year-old has not appeared on television since. His last bout to make air was a singles defeat to Dijak on the 4 April episode of NXT, though he has since wrestled four untelevised contests. Most recently, Jones was defeated by Cameron Grimes at a SmackDown dark match last Friday, 18 August.
Jones has been with WWE since entering the Performance Center in February 2019. The former football player beat the PC's trap bar deadlift record three months later, hitting the 800lb mark, and worked his first contest that November.
