WWE Crown Jewel 2019 saw 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt finally become Universal Champion, besting Seth Rollins in a red-bathed Falls Count Anywhere bout that say him survive all manner of high-impact offence, then eventually put 'The Beast Slayer' away with the Mandible Claw.

It was the right booking choice, though the execution was almost completely different.

This is according to Fightful Select, who, in a new report, have claimed that WWE originally planned on executing a Wyatt/Rollins double-turn in Saudi Arabia, leading to one last battle between the two. This ended up not happening and there's currently no telling whether or not WWE will end up booking Rollins/Wyat III.

'The Fiend' could make an appearance on this week's episode of SmackDown, with Wyatt promising he'll be in the house as WWE's new A-show hits Manchester, England, though he kept his targets vague. There's no word on whom his first Universal Challenger will be.

Rollins, meanwhile, has experienced significant fan backlash in recent weeks, with much of it stemming from him and Wyatt's disastrous Hell In A Cell main event. It'll be interesting to see if WWE end up turning heel after his failure to fill the top face role on Raw.
