WWE SummerSlam 2021 will go down in Las Vegas on Saturday 21 August, reports The Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast's Andrew Zarian.

"This source has been a home run with a few things regarding SummerSlam and I'm confident he is correct," Zarian tweeted.

It was reported last week that SummerSlam 2021 would take place in Vegas potentially on 22 August, a Sunday. Instead, WWE is taking a rare step, booking its pay-per-view for a Saturday night.

Zarian added that his WWE sources were surprised by the above, with one noting that "It could be an internal error of dates." WrestleVotes has added to this, claiming 21 August is a "provisional" date, though WWE prefers the Saturday night.

This means that WWE will be going head to head with the Manny Pacquiao vs. Errol Spence Jr. fight, which takes place in Vegas on the same night, going down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. WWE is expected to run the Allegiant Stadium, which holds between 61,000 and 72,000 fans depending on the configuration.

WWE is yet to make any formal announcements with regards to SummerSlam 2021, its date, and location.
