RETRIBUTION Buried On WWE Raw

How NOT to book a heel wrestling stable...

One week removed from failing to deliver a promised explanation following Mustafa Ali's reveal as the group's leader, RETRIBUTION were handed a proper, old-school burial on last night's episode of Raw.

Alexa Bliss and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt opened the show. Quickly, they were interrupted by RETRIBUTION, though the duo disappeared before things could get ugly. This set Ali's stable up for what would come not long after.

RETRIBUTION then wrestled The Hurt Business to an 11-minute defeat in their very first match with Mustafa as leader, falling limply as Bobby Lashley made T-Bar submit to the Hurt Lock. Then, as if losing on their maiden voyage wasn't bad enough, RETRIBUTION were single-handedly demolished by Wyatt, who took the stable out one by one, with T-Bar eating the final Sister Abigail, having just stopped Ali from taking a bullet.

This is not how you book an effective, threatening heel stable, and is reminiscent of the way wrestling promotions would traditionally book an act on its way out, serving them an emphatic shellacking from which they wouldn't need to rebound. Doing so will now be very, very difficult for RETRIBUTION, who were already struggling to look threatening prior to this, and now look meeker than ever.
