PWInsider previously reported that the recent injury angle to Buddy was done in order to allow the House of Black man to return to Australia with Rhea for a family event. It turns out, that family event was the pair's wedding.

The real-life Demi Bennett and Matthew Adams announced their engagement last August, having first gone public with their relationship in 2022.

Of course, Rhea Ripley is currently off WWE TV after being forced to vacate the Women's World Championship in the immediate aftermath of WrestleMania XL due to injury. As for Buddy Matthews, as mentioned, he was temporarily written off AEW programming due to an "injury" suffered during the House of Black vs. Bang Bang Gang match on the 15 June edition of AEW Collision.
