Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill Is Getting SPICY Already (WWE News)

The trash-talk has already begun between Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill.

With Rhea Ripley having won the eponymous women's match at Elimination Chamber this past weekend, in turn earning herself a shot at Jade Cargill's WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 42, Ripley and Cargill have wasted zero time in letting the trash-talk commence.

Truth be told, this trash-talk actually started in the immediate aftermath of Rhea's Chamber win, where Mami promised things would be getting "bloody brutal" at 'Mania 42 as she made her way to the back.

Since then, Rhea and Jade have exchanged back-and-forths on X, where, amongst other things, Mami accused Cargill of being all talk, Jade commented on the hours Ripley spends talking to the creative team, and the Eradicator said how her WrestleMania opponent was chatting "bulls**t".

For Jade Cargill, WrestleMania 42 will be the first time she's been in a title match at Showcase of the Immortals, with her two previous WrestleMania outings being a win over Naomi last year and teaming with Naomi and Bianca Belair to beat Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 40.

On the other hand, Rhea Ripley has the phenomenal stat being involved in a title match in all six of her previous WrestleMania appearances; losing the NXT Women's Title to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, defeating Asuka for the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania 37, unsuccessfully teaming with Liv Morgan to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 38, beating Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Title at WrestleMania 39, beating Becky Lynch to retain the Women's World Title at WrestleMania 40, and then being involved in that excellent triple threat at WrestleMania 41, where Iyo Sky retained the Women's World Title against Ripley and Bianca Belair.
