While Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 was one full of many positives, one major negative for WWE and for Rick Boogs is an unfortunate injury suffered by Boogs in the event's opening match.

There, the guitar enthusiast and Shinsuke Nakamura challenged Jimmy and Jey Uso for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in the first match of the night. As seen by the millions watching across the globe, Boogs went down injured as his right knee buckled while he attempted to carry both Usos on his shoulders.

Referee Ryan Tran immediately threw up the ominous X sign, while Nakamura tagged in to work the rest of the match and ultimately get pinned after taking the 1D from Jimmy and Jey. With this tag bout cut short at just seven minutes, that led to WWE filling time by airing commercials for some of the contests on the way for Night 2 of this year's Showcase of the Immortals.
