Ridge Holland Injured On WWE NXT

A horrible, ill-timed injury for the rising Englishman.

Ridge Holland picked up what looks like a legitimate injury during last night's episode of NXT, hurting his ankle while brawling with Oney Lorcan.

This came following a victory over Danny Bruch. Holland tried to keep the beatdown going but was interrupted by Burch's tag team partner, Lorcan, going back-and-forth with the wild brawler before seemingly getting hurt after catching a dive to the outside. Oney was pulled away from him as the official checked up on the Englishman, throwing up the dreaded X symbol in the process.

NXT then went to a break, before returning to a shot of Holland being stretched out of the building, flashing a quick thumbs-up as he went.

Here's hoping Holland is okay and that the injury doesn't hinder his progress in WWE. It is particularly upsetting given the timing, with the former professional rugby player seemingly set for a big push after destroying Adam Cole to close last week's TakeOver 31 event.

Holland, 32, has been with WWE since 2018, having held a tryout for the company two years prior. He worked his first televised match (a defeat to Keith Lee) that November but didn't become a regular NXT presence until this past August.
