Ridge Holland Returns To WWE NXT After 10 Months Away

After injuring both legs back in October 2020, Ridge Holland finally returned to NXT last night.

Ridge Holland was back on WWE NXT for the first time since October 2020 last night, finding himself a couple of new allies in the process.

The Englishman appeared as Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan were wrestling Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher in the opener. He helped Lorcan and Dunne pick up the victory by knocking Thatcher down with a lariat on the outside, putting the heels back in control before Dunne hit Ciampa with the Bitter End for the finish.

Holland leapt back into action after the bell, beating Thatcher up while Lorcan and Dunne held Ciampa back, making him watch. The trio then put the babyfaces down and stood tall to close the segment.

Thus culminated a long road to recovery for Holland, who blew both legs out while brawling with Lorcan and Danny Burch on NXT's 11 October 2020 episode. Ridge had been pegged for a big push on WWE's developmental brand prior to that, with company officials reportedly seeing him as NXT's "next big thing".

Last night was the first of two pretaped NXT shows on SYFY. Click here for details on what WWE recorded for next week's episode, including more from Holland.
