During last night's WWE Day 1 Pre-Show, Ridge Holland suffered a nasty broken nose as he teamed with Sheamus to take on Cesaro and Ricochet.

This gnarly looking injury occurred when Holland's opponents went to hit a double team manoeuvre on him. With Cesaro adding extra leverage to Ricochet as the One and Only hit what appeared to be an assisted standing 450 splash, the landing of this move saw Ricochet's right foot and shin come down across the face of Holland.

The English powerhouse immediately rolled to the outside and was checked on by medical staff, with him then removed from the match and taken to the back for further assessment.

In Holland's absence, Sheamus would eventually pick up the victory against Cesaro and Ricochet in what became a two-on-one handicap match. After laying waste to Ricochet with a White Noise on the outside of the ring, the Celtic Warrior then put Cesaro down with a Brogue Kick to get the 1-2-3.

WWE has yet to provide a full medical update on Ridge Holland, although this incident was referenced later in the night during the main WWE Day 1 card. Here's hoping this latest injury setback isn't one that keeps Holland out of action for any notable length of time.
