Rising AEW Stars Taking Time Off

Why you won't see these AEW stars on Dynamite or Collision any time soon.

Julia Hart
AEW

Julia Hart and Lee Johnson are taking time away from All Elite Wrestling to get married.

Fightful Select reports that the AEW couple, who announced their engagement last October, will be off television for the time being. Johnson and Hart will be embarking on their honeymoon shortly after the wedding, hence the absence.

There is currently no word on how long the duo will be away, nor has there been any indication of whether AEW will run vignettes for Hart, in particular, during the absence. Recent times have seen Julia rise in prominence on the AEW roster, building up a 20+ match winning streak that allowed her to challenge TBS Champion Kris Statlander at 1 October's WrestleDream pay-per-view.

Statlander defeated Hart in around 9 minutes at WrestleDream. Nonetheless, Hart's roster position is unquestionably higher than before the program.

Johnson, meanwhile, has been more activein Ring of Honor than ROH lately, contesting regular singles matches for Tony Khan's other wrestling brand. Claudio Castagnoli, the Mogul Embassy, Shane Taylor, and Darius Martin stand amongst the 25-year-old's most notable opponents, with his last AEW appearance coming on the 5 August episode of Collision.
