Road Dogg Says WWE "Dropped The Ball" With THESE Stars

Former writer and company legend thinks WWE could've done more for these workers.

Former WWE writer/producer Road Dogg has admitted that he and other creative team members "dropped the ball" on both Rusev and Lana during the height of their respective runs in the company.

Speaking via his podcast, Dogg bemoaned the lack of focus everyone had when looking to reunite the lovers on-screen. The former D-Generation X man said he feels like Rusev and Lana "slipped through [his] fingers" generally, and he honestly thinks WWE could've done more with them overall.

Few fans would argue with that, especially when it comes to Rusev.

He's now signed to AEW as Miro, and has suffered some of the same stuttering form he did over in WWE. To his credit, Road Dogg takes some responsibility for that - he said he "doesn't lose sleep" over it, but does wish he could "go back and do things differently" second time around.

Rusev and Lana first split on TV in 2015, but had reconciled by the end of the year. Dogg doesn't think WWE writers did a very good job with the story at all. He'd like a second run at that one!
