ROH Death Before Dishonor Card Hit By Huge Changes

Friday's ROH pay-per-view forced into making major adjustments up and down the card.

Death Before Dishonor

Huge changes have defined Ring Of Honor's Death Before Dishonor more than the card itself with just hours until showtime.

Fightful Select documented the ups and downs of the show's planning, original matches that had to be scrapped and updates on what might be added late, reporting that;

"...the original plans for ROH Death Before Dishonor were actually rematches from Supercard of Honor. Samoa Joe vs. Mark Briscoe, and Claudio Castagnoli vs. Eddie Kingston. Claudio vs. Eddie was originally reported by Dave Meltzer...Samoa Joe was planning for time off from AEW and ROH, and wasn’t originally scheduled for the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV...ROH were planning on moving without Joe, and Shane Taylor vs. Dalton Castle would have happened at Death Before Dishonor...Eddie Kingston was granted permission to work G1 Climax, and as a result, the originally planned matches were consolidated into Mark Briscoe vs. Claudio Castagnoli. Unfortunately, Briscoe sustained a knee injury and required surgery. Plans for PAC vs. Claudio were put in place a couple of weeks ago when the company got word of the injury, but couldn't be finalized until Blood and Guts had completed."

The current card is as follows:

- ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. PAC
