In front of an electric Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Roman Reigns successfully retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn.
With his family and friends in attendance, a gutsy effort from Sami ultimately came up short thanks to shenanigans towards the end of the match.

After a ref bump, Zayn hit a Helluva Kick and got the visual 1-2-3 on the Tribal Chief. Unfortunately for the Canadian, said ref bump allowed for Jimmy Uso to hit the ring and nailed a trio of superkicks on the Honorary Uce. However, that wasn't enough to keep Sami down, and a second ref bump saw Jey Uso enter the fray.
Unlike his brother, Jey came between Roman and Sami, and even teased hitting the Head of the Table with a steel chair. Before Jey could make his decision, though, he was invertedly speared by Zayn. That act allowed Reigns to seize control of the chair and lay waste to his opponent before hitting one final spear to secure the win.

Post-match, Jimmy Uso and Roman attacked Sami, but the Great Liberator was saved by his fellow Quebec native, Kevin Owens. To a major pop, KO hit Stunners on Reigns, Jimmy, and even Paul Heyman, and shared a glance with his long-time BFF-turned-rival as Owens made his way back up the entrance way.
While this now means that Roman Reigns is on track to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, it appears that we very well could be getting the much rumoured Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Usos bout at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.
